Corpse party anime thoughts4/2/2023 ![]() I don't know what you were reading, but the games were spot on. It just felt like "Let's torture the characters in the worst way we can think off and even kill of basically everyone". I can't justify the way the anime went through it though. I absolutely love the games, to death even. That is why I didn't like Tortured Souls. It seems whenever there is an animation of a game, they try to really change it up and overdo things. There is a moderate proportion of fanservice in the Neptunia games, but the anime over did it. They changed way too much of it and tried to shove fan service down our throats. I also share the sentiments with the Neptunia anime. There are lots of fans on Corpse Party forum boards that agree with the same sentiments. The anime soured my taste for the animators because of how much change it had. She went out honorably in the game, but just died in a horrible way for shock value. Also, with what Kurono said I also disliked. I didn't like that Yoshiki died, even though he can live through pretty much everything in the game. It felt like they tried to find ways to torment them even worse than what they did in the games. The thing is, they tried to kill the characters in the worst way possible, if not the goriest. I am perfectly fine with that, I love seeing my favorite cardboard cut out characters put into moving animation. If anything, as a big fan over the Corpse Party series, the only thing I regret is this being only a 4 eps OVA rather then a full TV series like I always wanted :< Sure I'll agree that some parts were changed but it still had most of the material from the games. The characters felt pretty much like in the games as well and transmitted well their feelings to us the viewers. It felt like they just wanted to see how far they could take the deaths with your favorite characters. As a fan of the series, I found it was horrible and un-needed. If you are a fan and don't want to be disgusted by the way they handled the anime, just don't watch it. He went through hell in the game, and no matter what happened, he always lived. Plot armor Yoshiki couldn't even live through it. Recently this series got a movie adaption,Corpse Party:Tortured SoulsĮven Mr. Several games were released with another one being prepared for PS Vita. The students of Kisaragi Academy must unravel the mystery behind Heavenly Host and escape from there. While searching around the school, they find the corpses of the people who were trapped before them, along with the spirits of four children who are not willing to let them live. And what's even worse: they appear in completely different dimensions inside the school. They try a mystical charm called Sachiko Ever After as an attempt to cheer up one of their classmates who is going to transfer schools but something goes wrong, and they end up trapped in Heavenly Host Elementary School. First of all,i dont really know if anyone's familiar with Corpse Party in generalĬorpse Party revolves around a group of students from Kisaragi Academy and one of their teachers.
